Sweet Retreat - It's yet another "end of an era," as Maui Land and Pineapple Company says aloha to pineapple. As if that weren't enough, the entire company's future is in jeopardy if they can't raise additional funds .

Major Blow to Drug Trade - Maui Police, acting on a hunch, cut the flow of cocaine to Maui by more than a pound. We've got the details.

Men in Blue (and Yellow) - Maui's intrepid firefighters bring their forces to bear on a Ma'alaea blaze in a tight spot Sunday along Honoapi'ilani Highway. Quick action kept a small blaze from becoming a big blaze.

Silent March - Two marches in the Aloha State in honor of slain Karolyn Alford, the wife of a retired Maui police officer, call attention to the fact that domestic abuse victims can be anywhere.

Plan "B" - The Hawai'i Department of Land and Natural Resources is looking for public input on their vision of improving state harbors, trails and parks - and wants to make sure the public agrees. We'll take you to a Maui meeting.

Sign of the 'Times' - After 30 years, Star Markets is no longer a Maui "5-star experience." Instead, Times Supermarkets takes over the statewide chain. Kihei residents, in particular, will see a significant change in local "convenience."

No Young Minds Left Behind - Maui Rotary clubs go above and beyond to make sure young minds have the best possible head start toward knowledge by delivering thousands of dictionaries to third graders. And, Hawai'i proves its interest in literacy by winning a contest that will bring 50,000 books to the Aloha State.

In Sports, things look more like "normal" in Maui Interscholastic League football as the season winds down. The Bears and the Lunas capture their divisions and now must get ready to take on the state.
