New Brass at MPD, MFD. There are four new Battalion Chiefs at the Maui Fire Department - bringing a neded additional level of authority in times of fire crisis. Meanwhile, Maui Police get a shiny new mobile command post and a new Assistant Chief.

Also this week on Maui TV News:

"Painting a Volcano." It sounds like a big job, and this week we see the progress of 23 Maui painters who set out to tackle the task.

A New Branch. Hawai'i National Bank moves its Kihei branch to a location so close to the old one, it looks like it might be from the same tree. But there's more to the move than just better parking and new paint. We'll take you there.

Also this week on Maui TV News, Hawaiian Canoe Club has held onto the MCHCA crown for a quarter of a century. And they'll be out for blood when they seek revenge in Hilo next month.

And it's sharks, turtles, spawning coral and sleeping bags at the Maui Ocean Center. And there's a new festival coming to Lahaina. We've got the details for you this week in Coming Attractions on Maui TV News.
