Shock and Awe - Part 2! - After last week's devastating news about the foreclosure on Makena Resort, this week Maui Prince Hotel employees get pink slips. But there may be hope.

Fire! - Moloka'i residents battle side-by-side to keep a monstrous wildfire from destroying homes and lives. More than 8,000 acres are consumed - but no homes are lost.

Sunrise Service. The Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce is holding a first-of-its-kind cultural ceremony as part of this year's Hawaiian Business Fest. We have a preview.

Health Care - Part I - Kihei-Wailea Medical Center's Free diagnostic and Screen clinic saw dozens of patients who don't have health insurance. And they may have saved at least one life.

Health Care - Part II - Wal Mart is getting into the Health Care industry with a $25,000 scholarship donation to the Hawai'i Red Cross to train unemployed men and women to become CNAs. We have details on how you might qualify.

Slow Food. It's a new nationwide effort to bring healthier food to school lunch rooms. Monday - on Labor Day - there's a way to make a very Maui statement.

Healthy Keiki. There are six of them that have just arrived at the Maui Ocean Center. Green Sea Turtle hatchlings, on loan from the state program that fosters honu keiki, are getting used to their new surroundings.

In Sports, the Maui High Sabers do something they haven't done in 25 games. And the Lunas of Lahainaluna do something they haven't done since 1947. And the two teams meet to kick off the Maui Interscholastic League football season this Friday night.
