In her State of the State address this week, Hawai'i Governor Linda Lingle announced a bold iniative to refurbish all of Hawaii's major recreation areas.

To underscore the importance of the plan, Lt. Gov. James R. "Duke" Aiona, Jr., came to Maui to begin the campaign for public support.
