Maui TV News offers three options from which to choose to put your best foot forward: Option One: Television and the Internet Your 30-second commercial airs in Maui TV News on www.mauitvnews.com on the worldwide web and across the state of Hawai'i. Maui TV News is available in every home, hotel room and condominium in Maui County that receives television program over the air, via basic or digital cable, or via satellite on DirecTV and Dish Network.Maui TV News airs every saturday on Hawaii's KIKU on Oceanic cable channel 10. Maui TV News is also available, 24/7, on Oceanic Digital Channel 110 on News on Demand. In addition, your 150 x 100 pixel banner ad will appear on www.mauitvnews.com on the Home Page and the Breaking News Page - our two most-visited pages. The web ad will include up to 30 words of "pop-up" or "rollover" text and a direct link to your web site.Cost: $200 per week, minimum four-week commitment. For a sample of the rollover text, roll your mouse over the ad at the top of this page (may not work on some older browsers). Bonus Opportunity: For an additional one-time charge of $100, your web banner ad will link to a separate, dedicated playback page to allow viewers to see your television commercial on the Internet any time of the day or night. The page will be available as long as the commercial airs on Maui TV News. For a sample of Internet playback, click on the ad at the top of this page. For demonstration purposes, the commercial used in the example is for Sakamoto Properties. Option Two: Television Only Your 30-second commercial airs in Maui TV News on www.mauitvnews.com on the worldwide web and across the state of Hawai'i on Oceanic Digital Channel 110 on News on Demand. No banner ad appears on the web site. Cost: $175 per week, minimum four-week commitment. Option Three: Internet Only Your banner ad will appear on www.mauitvnews.com on the Home Page and the Breaking News Page - our two most-visited pages. The web ad will include up to 30 words of "pop-up" or "rollover" text and a direct link to your website.Cost: $35 per week, minimum one-week commitment. Production Requirements, Creative Services Television Commercial: If you already have a TV commercial recorded, produced and ready for air, there will be no charge to insert it into Maui TV News. We can only accept 30-second advertisements in the Mini-DV tape format, at 720x480 pixels in the NTSC Standard. If you do not have a TV commercial, we offer a Campaign '08 production package starting at just $300 (plus tax and any applicable fees). For that price, you will receive a 30-minute recording session in the Maui TV News studio at the Maui research and Technology center in Kihei, with your pre-approved script generated on our teleprompter. If you choose to have someone other than the candidate appear on-camera for your commercial, law requires the likeness (voice or video and voice) of the candidate to endorse the commercial announcement (i.e., "...I'm Candice Candidate and I approved this message.") and that message must be included in the commercial. The $300 price includes up to two hours of post-production editing and the insertion of up to five graphic images - to be provided by the candidate or campaign in acceptable image quality. The optimum image size is 640x480 pixels at 72 dots per inch. Price also includes on-screen text (character-generated graphics, or "CG," to include the candidate's or campaign's name, slogan or statement of exhortation and any disclaimers required. Should your needs require it, custom production rates and capabilities are available upon request. Web Banner Ad: If you already have a "web banner ad" for insertion on www.mauitvnews.com, there is no additional charge to insert it into the web site during the period of the advertising agreement. Web ads must be 150 pixels wide by 100 pixels high at 72dpi. Any image format is acceptable as long as it can be converted to the jpg format. For this campaign, we are unable to accept animated gif ads or Flash animations. If you do not have a web ad, we offer production services to create one for you. For $75, we will provide one hour of production time to construct the web ad using your art (usually a single photo of the candidate or simple representation of your campaign). A sample ad of the size and style described here appears at the top of this page. Candidate or campaign must provide copy for the 30-word rollover text. |

| Advertising Policy for Political Advertising on Maui TV News Following is the Advertising Policy for political advertising on Maui TV News and on www.mauitvnews.com: Island News Technologies, LLC, accepts advertising for Political candidates and/or legally recognized issues, measures or topics included on ballots available to the voting public in the Maui County area. We permit political advertisements regardless of the political views they represent. Stating disagreement with or campaigning against a candidate for public office, a political party, or public administration is generally permissible. However, political ads must not include accusations or attacks relating to an individual's personal life, nor can they advocate against a protected group. Ad text advocating against any organization, person, or group of people is not permitted. Advertisements and
associated websites may not promote violence or advocate against a protected
group. A protected group is distinguished by their: If you're soliciting political donations, your ad's landing page must clearly state that the donations are non-tax-deductible. Political campaigns and candidates with questions about these policies are encouraged to contact our Elections Team at info@mauitvnews.com . Maui TV News and its parent company Island News Technologies, LLC., shall not be held liable or accountable for any statement, inference or representation made by any candidate or campaign. Advertising rates for political advertising on the Internet and/or television broadcast of Maui TV News or on the website www.mauitvnews.com, shall equal the lowest unit rate for comparable advertising. No "special" rates shall be charged or credited to or for organizations or individuals for political advertising.
